This is our favorite place to stay!
We love Palace Modern for its quiet elegance, perfect location, and easy access. It’s luxury without the pretense. We will be back again!

Mrs.
Lovely hotel except for the glass walled bathroom and the lack of a magnifying makeup mirror.

Positive: All one floor, 16 rooms, quiet. Clean with fridge and Kerrig. Bed comfy. Beautifully decorated with in house gallery. Owner was so helpful, even carried things on for us.
Negative: Parking too far away- not near facility. Had to park and walk a couple of blocks. Glass surrounded bathroom on 2 sides with curtain which was beautiful but not as practical. Water from shower went all over floor since shower had no curtain. Both bathroom and room could use a bit more space. No cart to bring in items but could park in front of facility to unload.

Best in town
I am a resident in Santa Fe and we are remodeling our home. It has been quite a while since we we stayed in a hotel in town. I had read about Palace Modern and thought it might be just the place. I WAS RIGHT! We arrived following the easy to understand instructions and everything was lovely. The hotel is small, bright, quiet, immaculate, with luxury linens, and products. From the excellent ironed Matouk linens and robes to the beautiful light fixtures and bathroom, it was great. I wasn't sure how the no receptionist would work, but it works perfectly and the guest amenities room fit the bill perfectly. We will absolutely be back when needed, and I've already told two shop owners in town to tell their clients if asked about where to stay. The only problem we did encounter was being able to use the reserved spot for unloading. There was a workers truck parked there when we arrived and all the paid spots on the street were taken. At one point that worker came out to his truck so we waited for him to move (suitcase was heavy). But he got back out of his truck and was headed back in. I did ask if he was leaving, and he just ignored me. Because there were 2 of us we put on our flashers on the car, I dragged the suitcase out, while my husband drove around the block so I could take the bag to our room. He knew he should not have been taking the reserved spot but did not car. Maybe a sign that says hotel guests only? Anyway thanks for the great time in our own town.
